Well, today was one of those hindsight days. By the time we realized the nasty weather was not going to materialize, it was too late for us to get underway and make 40 miles to our next destination. Severe thunderstorms are predicted for tonight as a front approaches, so today is officially logged as a “weather day”. We took advantage of being in port to attend the Heritage Days Festival being held directly next to the marina.
The Heritage group was camping, in teepees and tents, in the park for the weekend and demonstrating skills of the past; weaving, woodworking, fur trading, and a way of life of their ancestors. The fur trading tent had small hides from rabbits up to large hides of bear and caribou. Is that still legal?
We succumbed to the temptation of ice cream today, but held out on fudge. The best fudge price we have seen is buy three pieces and get two free for $19.95. Exactly what would we do with five pieces of fudge??
