If we were home we would be at Siesta Beach for Sunrise Service with our family, but this Easter we see the glory of God all around us with each new vista.  We received photos of the grandkids with their colorful Easter eggs and the whole family attending Sunrise Service.

Today was the first time we have had to wait for bridges that only open on the hour or half-hour.  We were in good company with at least three or four other boats circling as we waited for the scheduled opening.

The ICW continues to run parallel to the Atlantic with just a sliver of land separating us from the ocean.  We passed Topsail Island and New River, North Carolina.

We truly enjoyed seeing Ospreys in their nests built on top of channel markers.  These are a few of our best shots of the day .  .  .

We have anchored early this afternoon near Camp Lejeune military reservation in a spot named Mile Hammock Bay. There is a warning in the cruising guide that we could be buzzed by a helicopter or inflatables full of well-armed soldiers during military exercises. Jean has applied make-up just in case we invite the marines for dinner.

We leave you with the photo that Ron snapped at 2:30 a.m. last night when he was up to check the anchor .  .  .
