We moved to the town docks in downtown Peoria, just a 3 mile trip.  Along the way, we witnessed “Extreme Fishing”.  This little boat was running at just the right speed to get the Asian Carp jumping, then the riders took turns “fishing” with bows—what next?

As soon as we got tied up to the docks, Bill, a fellow looper,   stopped by to welcome us and give us the scoop about the town.  The boys offloaded the bikes and we took off in search of the Oktoberfest tents for lunch.

We were all in agreement it was a nice introduction to the city.  After a ride along the riverfront, we returned to the docks just as Betty and Marc on  KatMan2 were pulling in.  A nice reunion ensued as we share tales of the last month of cruising.

By 4:45 p.m. we were dressed in our Gator shirts and off to Joe’s Crab Shack to watch the Florida vs Tennessee game.  Bob and Madeline were good sports to cheer for the Gators with us, then Betty and Marc joined the table for dinner.  It was a great evening—good football (since UF won) and a steamer pot of shrimp and crab.

We received text updates on Morgan and Alicia who are swimming in Jacksonville this weekend and a photo of Cash playing T-ball.  We sure miss the grandkids!!!

  1. If you are a T-Shirt and jeans person don't jump into a suit unless you are comfortable wearing a suit.
