Local Loopers

Eddie, Sandi, Linda and Bob
 (L is for LOOPER)

Our article in Sarasota Sailing Squadron Burgee and the Longboat Observer generated numerous contracts from friends and local loopers.  This morning we met two couples, who will also be departing in March, for breakfast at Rotten Ralph's.  We also talked to a third couple, Larry and Linda, who are currently sailing the loop on their Island Packet 35.   We are so excited to have met new friends before even leaving the dock!
This says it all.

Preparing to say goodbye to family and friends . . .

This adventure has been Ron’s dream for over 20 years.  We both retired recently and feel now is the time to embark on this journey, but we do so with such mixed emotions.  We are excited about the adventure that lies ahead, but our hearts are heavy to leave our children, grandchildren, extended family and good friends behind for what seems like a very long time.

Christmas 2011
We would like to introduce you to the Schwied family, the loved ones we will leave behind to follow our dream to adventure.  First our two children, Ron and Shannon, who are both married with three children of their own.

Our GRAND kids.

That leads us to our SIX grandchildren, who are so special to us that words cannot describe how much joy they bring to our lives. We consider ourselves extremely lucky and blessed to have our children and grandchildren living in Sarasota and we are so happy to be a part of their lives!
